The White Horse is proud of it's rotating selection of real ales and has been voted NW Essex CAMRA pub of the year in 2006, 2007 and 2009. All real ales are served straight from the cask and are continually changing. The ales are mainly from smaller breweries both locally and from further away. Real Cider and Perry from Westons is also available. The White Horse is proud to announce it will be offering the following as house beers HOUSE MILD Mighty Oak - Oscar Wilde Mild at 3.7%, voted the Champion Beer of Great Britain at the recent Great British Beer Festival HOUSE BITTER Nethergate - 3.9 at (surprisingly!) 3.9% Nethergate have recently been named Brewery of the Year in the 2012 edition of the Good Pub Guide so congratulations to them! That's makes beer from TWO award winning breweries regularly on tap at The White Horse!!!! Although not a real ale we have recently replaced Guinness with Marston's Oyster Stout at 4.5%. We are pleased to report that this change has been very well accepted by all who have partaken of same!!! Remember - Bibendum Est Hoc Tempore (Translation provided at the bar!!)
